If you get to know me, like, really know me, I often struggle with short-term memory. It is a struggle and can challenge my day. There are few benefits to forgetting something.
Unless the forgotten becomes a pleasant surprise!
I am a bus driver, and the school board that I drive for is very smart and considerate. They have figured out how to get the Catholic and public schools to have a PD day on the same date (something that is oddly impossible in other districts), and they always have their PD days on the day before a long weekend, making every long weekend into a four-day weekend!!!
I did not forget the blessed benefit of working for Peel, but I did forget that a PD was coming in May. Having a four-day holiday in the middle of May, on the weekend often considered the unofficial start to summer, is amazing. Charlene, my amazing wife, had already booked off the Friday before the weekend, and I have the day off, so what do I do?
Plan a trip, naturally!
I titled the trip: Visiting a Country that Fought Against the Monarchy, but in the End Adored Queen Victoria. The map is viewable here.
As with everything on my website, use this as a base for your own personal adventure or peruse the places I have talked about for inspiration to find fascinating places to explore.
