Charlene and I enjoy spring. We tour everywhere, and I mean everywhere, during the month of May to see as many spring flowers as we can. I have wanted to go to this location for some time, but I missed the peak bloom for daffodils each year.

But not this year!

We got there at the right moment, and it was stunning.

In the centre of Aurora is a field that is filled with daffodils. Aptly named Field of Gold, it delivers on the golden beauty of this simple yet, beautiful flower. Hundreds of flowers are in this area, and it is easy to walk among them all.

I was impressed to see so many and how they are all spread out in clusters. I was even more impressed that every person who had visited this place before us left the flowers unharmed, allowing many more people to enjoy this location.

Field of Gold is located in Lambert Willson Park in Aurora. We parked in the residential area at the intersection of Mugford Rd and Woodroof Cres.. This gave us direct access with minimal distance to walk.

In this area is the Aurora Community Arboretum, which has nice walking trails, but these trees were barely budding, considering it was spring. Although, it will be something to consider visiting in a month or so.

If you are interested in visiting flowery locations, I have created a Flowers and Trees Map, which includes Field of Gold and many other worthy spots.
