Rocket Fizz is a specialty store that features many different pop flavours. When I saw this flavour, it immediately brought me back to my childhood. As a young, playful child, where being outside with friends was the best form of entertainment, I found myself in the presence of grass almost daily. Grass could be in my own yard, a park, or the school fields. The grass was everywhere, especially stained into the knees of my jeans.
Occasionally, rough and tumble play would cause my face to be pushed into the ground where I would get the taste of grass in my mouth. Having a lot of experience with the consumption of grass, I became immediately nostalgic for my childhood days when I saw grass flavour pop. Upon opening it, I was flooded with memories of being a kid. The flavour was bright and sweet, much like freshly planted grass on a lawn, and not the old, darker grass that has been there for years and has been trampled by countless people and visited by many dogs.
This pop was refreshing. A very well-defined freshly-mowed lawn taste. It delivered well in sweetness like one would expect when eating grass clippings. I would buy this one again, not because of the memories it reminds me of, but because I hope to have a yard taste as great as this someday.
