I am a bus driver. I have the privileged position of taking tomorrow’s leaders to school. Not being in the educational system for decades, I am not versed in the leaps and bounds that schools have become in educating children these days.
Today, I learned that brothers and sisters can get married. According to this girl, she announced while discussing with her brother and some friends. Her brother pipes up, but then the same girl who stated familial marriage is okay immediately protested, “Why does it have to be me?”
As a driver, I am occasionally distracted by the operation of the bus and missed the transition to the next part of this intense conversation between this small group of friends.
The brother is not going to marry her sister after all. Instead, he plans on wedding a chicken nugget. A marriage with this nugget will be much better than a marriage with his sister because there will be baby chicken nuggets. Why? He plans on eating the nugget.
The sister is very confused. “What if the nugget is a girl nugget? How are you going to get baby nuggets?”
It was a profound conversation where I learned so much.
I had no idea that marital laws had changed this much since the last time I attended school some 30-plus years ago. I also completely misunderstood how chicken nuggets are made. Becoming a bus driver has become an enlightening experience!
