It is hard to believe that I am already planning Christmas even though summer is still with us. But experience has taught me that it is never too early to start planning what we are going to see, and more importantly, where we are going to see all these new things.
While sitting on the couch, watching a particularly boring TV show, Charlene and I started to talk about where to go for Christmas. We decided that we have not been to Rhode Island yet, and there has always been this notion to go there, visit all we can and then say that we have completed visiting everything in one state.
The only problem with this is that I discovered there is plenty to do in Rhode Island, and it will probably take a full summer vacation to see everything. I had seriously entertained the idea of visiting this tiny state for next summer, but when we were sitting on the couch, we planned where we are going for March Break and for next summer too. I guess completing Rhode Island will only happen on some future summer holiday.
I named this trip Visiting the Tiniest State at the Biggest Time of Year. To see the map, click here. It still has some research locations marked on it because, since we are still many months away from heading that way, things may change at a particular location. I will need to recalibrate my itinerary at that point.
Below is the itinerary. It is still in research format but will be cleaned up as the date gets closer, and I can begin booking things.
Now I will begin that long, impatient wait for our next excursion together. The countdown has begun.
