Sometimes I do not feel well. I suffer from migraines, and I have found that certain tasks really help me ignore, or even overcome, a migraine. Planning trips is one of those healing tasks. Instead of lying in bed, I got onto my computer and planned a trip.
I have created three travel itineraries to visit Cincinnati, Ohio. Grateful for an Extra-Long Thanksgiving, my first planned trip, but unfortunately, we had to cancel it due to a major family event.
Along comes my second opportunity to see Cincinnati during Easter. I rearranged the original plan and came up with Chasing the Easter Bunny in Cincinnati, but that too was cancelled.
The third time was the charm when I planned a four-day weekend for my birthday. Hence, the reason for the title of my third itinerary is ‘Third Time’s The Charm.’
Not feeling too lucky that this trip would actually take place, since it had been cursed so much, and not feeling my best, I decided to play around with this trip and see if I had all the time I wanted. How long would we actually spend in the area? Creating this trip did take my mind off the blahs I was feeling. I have made many other maps for “Future Trips” in the past (check out my Custom Maps Page). Doing these fantasy maps can be cruel because I now want to do it. However, on the other hand, when the opportunity arises, I already have the research done, and I can modify the map and itinerary for the future trip.
I called this trip “I am not feeling well, I need my vitamin CCC (Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus). The map can be seen here.
The good news is that we successfully completed the Cincinnati trip. But if you are curious about how I would have done this trip if I had more time, here is the itinerary:
