I had one of two options for this upcoming Easter weekend.

OPTION 1: Nothing.

OPTION 2: Something.

I didn’t like option one, but it was the best option, and I held this position for over a month. There are several reasons for this belief—first, my eye. I need expensive eye injections. At over $1700 a pop and with the possibility of many injections, it will get expensive. Fortunately, my wife has insurance, and about half of the cost is covered by her plan, and some other program covers the other half my doctor signed me up for. The cost should be zero. “Should be” is the key phrase here.

Secondly, Ontario has no campgrounds open, and many of the attractions we would consider visiting are closed for the most religiously significant event in the world—Easter. We have heard horror stories about those crossing into the USA, but we have crossed many times with no issues. Plus, the people in America are more than welcoming to our Canadian presence in their land.

So I decided on Option 2.

But what to do.

Like much of Ontario, many places are closed on Easter. I had initially considered a waterfall/camping trip, but for various safety reasons, what I was looking into might not be open for Easter yet. Then I remembered our trip to Cincinnati that I had to cancel.

After reworking it and contacting various locations I wanted to visit, I was able to plan a nice long weekend trip to Cincinnati.  The map of where we are going can be found here.
