I was just browsing Facebook one lazy afternoon when I saw someone else’s post listing all the states they have been to. They even featured a map. I became jealous and wanted my own map. A quick Google search led me to MapChart.net, where I created this image.
I became impressed with how much we have already seen. I do not think I will see Hawaii or Nunavut any time soon. I am not sure how I would be able to drive to either location. Newfoundland is a place we can explore, but given the distance and the 18-hour ferry ride, we will have to wait until we have plenty of time.
After admiring this image, I realized that in 90 days I will have to remake it because we will be on our summer trip and will be entering eight new states. That upcoming trip to Vegas can be seen here.
And I have created another map, showing most of the places we have explored. It is my favourite, and I use it to “fill in the gaps” when planning out a new trip.
Travel is easy, enlightening, fun and inspiring. I can keep our travel expenses under $200 a day, so when we travel, it does not break the bank. Maybe you can start your own map by checking out all the places we have been and what is near you.
