I love building maps, creating itineraries, and researching things to do, so when I was asked what recommendations there were for Ottawa for a grandma and her grandson on the theme of money, I jumped right to it.

Well, that is an incorrect statement.

I jumped right to it AFTER we finished the trip that I had planned.

Ottawa is a great city to visit, and it is one that we have been to many times. Plus, there are many options on how to get there and what to see on the way. I was able to come up with this itinerary:

This weekend plan includes the Royal Canadian Mint and the Bank of Canada Museum. Both are all about money, and I even have them staying at a former jail, so if the thought of stealing money comes to mind, they may reconsider after a night in this haunted location.

And my favourite ice cream place is included TWICE! Just in case they miss it the first time, or if they loved it so much, they want to go there again.

If I have the time, which can be an issue, I can create an itinerary for you.

The custom Google Map is found here.
