I was thrilled to hear that Caitlyn was taking some time off, especially since she had asked to go on a trip with us to the USA again. Eagerly, I spent a couple of hours coming up with a plan, and when it was time to call her and talk about the itinerary, she reminded me that the reason she had time off was for a minor surgery.
Oh.
I forgot about that.
What a disappointment.
I liked how this plan came together, but now it is obvious that Caitlyn won’t be able to go.
Not to have a plan go to waste, I have created a modified one that doesn’t include Cait. Plus, if is flexible in that I can use this plan for the weekend planned, or for the following two weekends.
Sadly, I called this trip “You Are Not Invited”, in honour of my daughter staying home after her surgery. It is a small surgery, so do not think I am heartless in leaving her behind. Plus, she is an adult now, so all is good.
