Don’t get me wrong, I love that there are community events that draw people together. But some community events force us to leave town.

Our town of Orangeville successfully holds a Jazz and Blues Festival each year. This is a great way to attract those who love this music and to show off our beautiful town. Yet, we cannot stand jazz and blues, and each year, we do our best to escape the music that seems to be focused on our bedroom window.

As per usual, I made a trip plan. But sadly, it will not be made. I waited too long to book the campground; the last site was taken moments before I finalized the plan. And there is something more important; I get another eye injection and tend to be miserable, so travelling might not be the best idea.

It sounds like I will be stuck at home listening to the festival.

Oh well.
