Every year, 90 million acres of land in the United States of America are planted with corn. Corn is a vital crop used for food, animal feed, sweeteners, alcohol, fuel, plastic, and even medicine. Without corn, things will be very different in our society.

The Field of Corn is a field near an important intersection in Dublin, OH. This field of 109 concrete ears of corn serves as a reminder of the town’s agricultural heritage and pays tribute to Sam Frantz, the inventor of several hybrid varieties of corn.
There are three different styles of corn, and with each one rotated slightly, each ear looks unique. As a warning, no amount of butter will make these corn cobs taste good. Plus, biting them really hurt my teeth.
- There is a side street and a small parking lot for a business, which makes it easier to view this field and appreciate this sizeable public sculpture.
