Bloor-Yorkville is fast becoming one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Toronto, Ontario.  It is an excellent place to walk around, explore the shops, see murals and recently, Fleurs de Villes Toronto!

This is a past event that was held on Mother’s Day.  It was a display of dozens of floral arrangements, of which some were made in honour of famous women.  The best part of this is that it was entirely free!

That is right in my price range.

Even though Charlene and I paid nothing to see these extraordinary displays, it was not free to make these displays.  Some exhibitions must have had a hundred or more individual flowers, including orchids, roses and other high-priced flowers.

As you can see, these are very expertly done.  It did draw a large turnout of people into this neighbourhood.
Fleurs de Villes might be over for the time being in Yorkville. Still, they have upcoming events in other cities in the world and considering the sheer artistry of this, I hope more and more towns sponsor these flowery delights. We will definitely be waiting for the next showing near us when it comes!
