I just missed it!

Ugh.

It would have helped to have known about it in the first place.”

Those were my thoughts back in 2018.  I had seen pictures of these incredible displays of horticulture that I immediately regretted missing it. Mosaicultures and Mosaicanada were in Ottawa/Gatineau from 2017 to 2018.

I missed it.

I had no idea until after the fact.

Blah.

The pictures were just stunning, though.

I would begin my very impatient wait for the return of Mosaiculture.

Centred in Montreal, this event has travelled the world and has returned to its home province with an incredible display of beauty in Quebec City.  The summer of 2022 would be the first time that I would be able to bring my wife and my mother to see their creations.

We were not disappointed.

As part of my birthday celebration and the fact that it was Labour Day weekend, I got tickets to bring us to walk the grounds of Parc du Bois-de-Coulonge in Quebec City.

Quebec City is beautiful, to begin with, and we have ventured to this historic city on several occasions now, even though it is a nine-hour drive.  When I heard that Mosaiculture was back, I invited my mother to accompany us.  She had never been to Quebec City, and this would be something that she would find utterly fantastic.

We arrived shortly after opening, and parking, at that time was plentiful.  This was not the case for those coming later.  The crowds were large and understandably so.  Everyone wanted to see such amazing detail in the flowers and plants used to make each display.

I was impressed that there were 200 of these horticultural wonders under the theme of “Life.”.

I was also happy to see so many people at this location.  After years of COVID restrictions, it is nice to be able to get out and mingle with people again.

Mosiculture in Quebec City is here only for a limited time, and the six million plants will only be on display until October 10, 2022.
