Ah, Christmas, our favourite time of year. There are so many great places to see, which can make it so hard to choose. But after much exploration and consideration, I have decided to visit Philly.

Why Philly? It is because there is a lot of history and an incredible density of things to do and places to visit that will be all decked out for Christmas. Plus, it includes many places that I have been wanting to visit ever since we started visiting the States.

Below is our itinerary and map. This trip is longer than our typical Christmas-time trip. Usually, we are gone from Boxing Day to New Year’s Eve, but because there is so much we can do, we are staying an extra couple of days.

Unlike our other trips, where I have every day planned right down to the minute, I am unable to plan our last two days. This is due to the Mummers’ Parade. This parade is a massive event that lasts for most of the day. Will we stay for most of it? Will we stay for the whole thing? When do we leave? Where do we stay the night? Too many questions, which means I will be planning our trip home as we travel back.

I am quite excited to take my wife to Philadelphia for our Christmas vacation. It will be an amazing experience.
