Long before we discovered traveling, we would do Walmart tours.  My beloved wife, Charlene, works at Walmart.  She was in charge of a couple of departments and wanted to know how other Walmarts in the area were doing it.  So we traveled from one Walmart to another.

These days, Charlene is still a department manager; we no longer intentionally visit Walmarts.  We do, however, visit a large number of Walmarts when we travel.  Every itinerary I create includes a Walmart location.  It is our key resupply spot, and with their amazing hours and their presence everywhere, it is easy to find a bathroom.

Charlene was scrolling on her phone, and she discovered that the world’s largest Walmart is in Albany, NY.  Many of our trips are inspired by her browsing the internet, and then I figure out how to make it work.  Although Albany is outside our usual weekend-trip scope, I made this one work.  We will visit several museums, and the next day we will visit frozen waterfalls.

There are 14 hours of driving in these 52 hours of the weekend, but the extra time will be worth it because of who I am spending that time with and the places we will see!
