I was innocently driving my beloved wife to work when she asked me if we were going on a trip.
I was completely taken by surprise. I had never even thought of it.
I have a doctor’s appointment coming up in Toronto, the kind of appointment that takes most of the day. It is on a Thursday, and Charlene was suggesting that we both take off Friday and have an extended long weekend.
That is a great idea. I wished I had thought of this.
I would go to work, book the day off for the doctor, and then tell them that my wife wanted to play hooky on that Friday so we could have a long weekend.
And with that done, I would begin my planning.
I would call this trip: Let’s Play Hooky, Cleveland Style.
