Upper Rosseau Falls is one place we visit each time. It is located on the road and has easy parking and easy access. It changes throughout the year. In winter, and especially during the spring thaw, it’s a fall to witness the enormous volume of water that can flow through a river. In summer, it’s an opportunity to see how erosion affects the rocks.

The summer heat has dried the river significantly. Here it is clear the erosive power of water and even seeing plants taking root.

There’s some length to this fall. One side of the road is a little rapids, and the other is the actual fall. Getting onto the falls when the water is low requires paying attention to footing. Seeing wildflowers taking root in a spot that will be inundated with water the next time is an excellent find.

This was a stop on my Frozen Waterfalls Weekend Trip. Here is the Google Maps of our journey.
